Dialysis

What is Dialysis?

Dialysis is the process of artificially cleaning the blood and removing waste materials when the kidneys are not functioning adequately. This treatment, which is vital for patients with kidney failure, is applied in two main ways: hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Hemodialysis

Hemodialysis is a method in which the blood is cleaned by a machine outside the body. During this process, the blood is sent to a dialysis machine where a special filter (dialyzer) is used to remove waste materials and excess fluid. The cleaned blood then returns to the body.

Our Services

  • Dialysis Sessions: Sessions are held three times a week and usually last 3-4 hours. Sessions are organized according to the patient’s health condition.
  • Dialysis Equipment: By using modern and high-capacity dialysis machines, we ensure that the treatment process is carried out at the highest standards.
  • Patient Monitoring: We constantly monitor the health status of our patients during hemodialysis and provide the necessary treatment and support.

Peritoneal Dialysis

  • Peritoneal dialysis is a method in which the peritoneal membrane in the abdomen is used for dialysis.
  • This fluid absorbs and removes waste materials and excess fluid from the abdominal cavity. The used fluid is then drained and fresh fluid is added.

Our Services

  • Home Peritoneal Dialysis: We train our patients in peritoneal dialysis that they can practice at home. This allows for a more flexible lifestyle.
  • Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter: Catheter placement and maintenance services are performed by specialized teams to ensure sterility and comfort.
  • Dialysis Fluid Management: Dialysis fluids are managed regularly and safely.

Health and Comfort in Dialysis Treatment

  • In-Hospital Comfort: We offer a comfortable environment by prioritizing the comfort of our patients during dialysis sessions.
  • Nutrition and Diet: We offer nutrition counseling and special diet plans to meet the special dietary needs of dialysis patients.
  • Psychological Support: We offer psychological support services to cope with the difficulties experienced during dialysis treatment.
